(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 30, 2026 – Driven to compete against the best the sport has to offer, Alex Pokorski and the members of the GR8 Team headed west to take on the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a planned doubleheader weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., on Friday, June 26.

Pokorski entered the weekend with the good memories of recording his best career 410 Sprint Car finish at the renowned three-eighths-mile high-banked clay oval, with a second-place showing on the final night of the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association Jerry Richert Memorial last Sept. 6.

The West Bend, Wis. native opened the night by qualifying 25th in the 30-car field with a lap of 12.258 seconds. He placed ninth in the first World of Outlaws heat race, which placed him in the seventh starting spot for the 12-lap Last Chance Showdown.

Needing to place in the top six to advance to the main event, Pokorski was running in the eighth position on lap 4 when he got too high and went on a series of hard flips. He escaped the melee uninjured. However, his No. 4 machine was damaged beyond repair, forcing the team to scratch from the remainder of the weekend.

“I just kept driving a little harder until I drove it too hard,” Pokorski said. “I got frustrated and pushed it a bit too much. I’m doing well for the circumstances. The car is not. Most things are junk, so we had to withdraw from racing on Saturday.”

After taking the Fourth of July weekend off, Alex and the GR8 Team are tentatively scheduled to enter a NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series doubleheader at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis., on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11.
