(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) March 2, 2020 – With the eternal battle between good and evil forging the foundation of a lushly depicted fantasy adventure narrative, Bob Rogler’s newly released first novel “Heart of Light Book One-Madea’s Fate” sets the tone for what’s to come in the highly anticipated “Madea’s Fate” trilogy.

Published by Pedal Down Promotions of Manitowoc, Wis, Rogler’s debut novel draws on his close connection to family themes and the intriguingly thrilling nature of the fantasy adventure genre.

“I wanted to write an adventure fantasy with one of the main characters being my daughter, Gabrielle, who rides a giant chicken,” Rogler said. “Good versus evil is the main concept. A group of heroes must overcome countless obstacles to save the life of a child. Family is promoted as the core value throughout the novel.”

While “Heart of Light” is Rogler’s first full-fledged novel, he is certainly no stranger to the art of fantasy storytelling.

“I’ve been writing in the fantasy genre for a little over five years now,” Rogler said. “I’m a contributing author in the fantasy anthology ‘Fireflies and Fairy Dust.’ I have two fairytales in the anthology ‘Tamilee and Trulia’ and ‘The Bellflower.’

“‘Heart of Light’ is book one in the Madea’s Fate trilogy,” he said. “Book two in the trilogy will be released in spring of 2021 titled ‘Witch’s Valley.’”

Robert. L. Rogler recently released his first fantasy novel “Heart of Light-Book One Madea’s Fate.”

With his daughter, Gabrielle, serving as the main inspiration for the story’s main character, Rogler wrote “Heart of Light Book One-Madea’s Fate” with a young adult audience in mind.

“The book was written for young adults,” Rogler said. “Yet, it will appeal to anyone who enjoys fantasy. I believe the audience will enjoy the diversity of heroes and villains throughout the book. There is action and adventure from start to finish.”

“The story narrative is written in third person,” he said. “I tried to set a mood to create tension and interest, which moves the story forward. I want the reader to imagine the scenes. To see the color, smell the fragrance of flowers. To feel the sunshine on their face or the rain falling down. There are scenes that are emotionally charged where the reader can feel the elation or sadness the characters experience.”

Along with the next two books in the “Madea’s Fate’ trilogy on the docket in the coming years, Rogler will also release an adult fantasy novel “Rendered Soul” later in 2020.

“I have spent a lot of time writing these books over the past few years and I am eager to release it all for people to enjoy,” Rogler said. “I firmly believe there is an audience for all of these books and I can’t wait to introduce these stories and characters to those that love reading fantasy adventure novels.”

Rogler, who is the head custodian at Manitowoc Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wis, is a resident of School Hill, Wis. where he lives with his wife, Jennifer, son, Logan and daughter, Gabrielle.
