Pokorski Motorsports makes most of abbreviated night at Plymouth

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 23, 2018 – After a one-week hiatus due to the second weather-related cancellation in the first three weeks of the 2018 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing-Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car season, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team headed back to the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis. to participate in a big all-Sprint Car spectacular, including a co-sanctioned All Star Circuit of Champions and Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car event.

With a capacity crowd of Sprint Car fans packing the stands and a strong field of 32 PDTR 360 Sprint Cars filling the pit area, Pokorski rolled off sixth in the fourth PDTR Sprint Car heat race.

When the green flag fell, Pokorski ventured to the high groove before dropping back to seventh when Nich Melis slipped past along the low line on lap 4. One lap later, Pokorski battled back to snatch sixth away from Melis.

Pokorski was challenging Justin Miller for fifth when the caution appeared on lap 7 for a spin involving Kenjay Fiedler and Brandon McMullen. After restarting fourth, Pokorski powered around Bill Taylor along the high groove on lap 8 to secure third place.

The 2014 Midwest Sprint Car Association Masters Series champion held on the rest of the way to finish third behind Miller and race winner Danny Schlafer.

Pokorski was scheduled to start fifth in the 25-lap PDTR 360 Sprint Car A main, but a heavy rain shower hit the track after the All Star-IRA B main, which forced the cancellation of the remainder of the program.

“I think the track was really nice and would have made a great A main for the 410s,” Pokorski said. “It may have been burned off by the time we got out there for the 360 main event though. I sure would have liked to find out. I know you can’t beat mother nature, but it’s still frustrating to get cut short like that. It was a pretty great night of racing up to that point.”

The Pokorski Motorsports team will be in action again this Saturday, May 26 for Military Night at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth.

The trophy sponsor for the evening is Pokorski Motorsports supporter Pedal Down Promotions. Pokorski will be looking to claim his second straight Pedal Down Promotions trophy after winning the PDTR 360 Sprint Car A main on PDP Night last year.

The grandstand will open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. and racing set to begin at 6 p.m.

The Pokorski Motorsports sponsors for the 2018 season include: Quest Engineering Inc., Acme Armature Works Inc., Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Tisler Salvage Inc., Allied Bearing Corporation and The Cawley Company.

Pokorski Motorsports posts top-10 finish in PDTR opener

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 8, 2018 – One week after turning in a solid run with the Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series at the Beaver Dam Raceway, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team fired up the 2018 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing/Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car season Saturday, May 5, at the Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis.

Pokorski was among a strong field of 30 PDTR/MSA Sprint Car competitors who signed in to do battle for the first time in 2018 at the third-mile Plymouth Dirt Track facility.

After lining up sixth in the second 10-lap Sprint Car heat race, Pokorski put on an impressive driving display working his way past Anthony Knierim, Spyder Akright, Bill Taylor and Chris Clayton en route to a strong second-place finish to earn a transfer spot to the evening’s A-main event.

“The car was great in the heat race,” Pokorski said. “I was really happy with how it handled and was looking forward to having a strong run in the A main.”

Pokorski, who opened the season with a 15th-place finish in the season-opening IRA event at the Beaver Dam Raceway on April 29, began the 22-car Sprint Car A-main from the seventh starting spot.

Sticking to the preferred low line, Pokorski advanced two positions in the early going before settling into the fifth spot on lap 3. On lap 8, Jim Melis slipped past to gain the fifth position. However, Pokorski would regain the position when Melis stopped in turn three on lap 15 to bring out the first caution of the event.

After restarting in fifth place on lap 15, Pokorski struggled over the final 10 laps as he searched for the fast line around the dry, slick track surface. At the finish line, Pokorski was scored in 10th place as polesitter Danny Schlafer notched the flag-to-flag victory.

“We were okay at the beginning of the A main, but I think the moved the wing back too much and tightened it up too far, which kind of killed the car on the bottom,” Pokorski said. “I compounded the problem by getting frustrated and moving to the top to try and make something happen, which didn’t work.

“After 25 full years in this sport, it’s amazing that we still seem to keep learning new things,” he said. “I’d say we’re in a good spot right now and I’m confident we’ll get better each and every week going forward.”

The Pokorski Motorsports team will be in action again this Saturday, May 12 at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth.

The grandstand will open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. and racing set to begin at 6 p.m.

Pokorski Motorsports gears up for 2018 MSA campaign

Paul Pokorski earned his 45th career A-main victory on May 27, 2017 at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis.

By Jeff Pederson-Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) March 15, 2018 – After reeling off a string of strong finishes to close out the 2017 season, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports 360 Sprint Car racing team will look to build off that momentum as they embark on the full Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) schedule during the upcoming 2018 season.

The 2014 MSA Masters Series champion will fire up his 26th season of racing at the Plymouth Dirt Track on the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis. on Saturday, April 28.

Pokorski, who will contest the entire 28-race MSA schedule in 2018, including 21 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) events at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds, is wrapping up a busy winter of preparation, which he hopes will give the team an edge when the green flag flies in late April.

“We started a little earlier with some of our offseason preparations in an effort to make things a little less stressful for everyone on the team,” Pokorski said. “Over the years, I have been able to find some great people to work with, like Goeden’s Auto Body, Todd at Goodwin Competition Engines, Kurt Gunderson at Competition Driveline and others.

“Those folks do their part well and on-time which makes things go smoothly,” he said. “We have also been working on a few sponsor commitments, and we’re always looking for more help in that regard.”

The highlight of the 2017 for Pokorski and his team came at The Plymouth Dirt Track on May 27 when he claimed his 10th career 360 Sprint Car A-main victory in flag-to-flag fashion on a night sponsored by one of his biggest supporters-Pedal Down Promotions.

It was Pokorski’s first A-main victory since Aug. 14, 2015 at the now defunct Manitowoc Expo Speedway, as well as the 45th overall A-main victory of his 25-year open-wheel racing career (35 Winged Super Modified, 10 360 Sprint Car).

In 21 PDTR/MSA events, Pokorski posted one A-main victory (May 27), two heat race wins, six top-five A-main finishes and 12 top-10 A-main showings, during the 2017 season.

Pokorski also placed seventh overall in the Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) standings and wound up ninth in the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) 360 Sprint Car points race.

While he describes the 2017 season as “very average,” Pokorski enters the 2018 campaign highly motivated to put his familiar blue No. 4 machine at the front of the field on a consistent basis.

“I’m excited for this season,” Pokorski said. “It took a while to find a comfort level with the Maxim chassis, but I think we found a pretty good baseline about mid-year last year. We are always continuing to try and find the next level of improvement, and the last few nights of last year we tried some different shocks that showed some promise. I’m looking forward to starting where we left off and building on that quickly.”

Pokorski, who is a three-time Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Winged Super Modified champion, is eager to visit some different tracks that have been added to the MSA touring schedule in 2018, including Outagamie Speedway in Seymour and TNT Speedway in Three Lakes.

“We will definitely focus on the Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) schedule,” Pokorski said. “That schedule has added four new tracks in the last three years to offer a little variety along with a steady diet of Saturday nights at Plymouth. The travel and the budget fit what we have to work with really well, plus it’s really a nice group of people we race with.

“I have raced at Outagamie Speedway, but it was prior to it being ‘powered by EWSC,’” he said. “I know that EWSC has done a great deal of improvements and their track prep is usually good and consistent. I have never raced at TNT, but I know some of the other MSA guys have, so we may be at a little disadvantage there. But it’s fun to go new places and see new fans that don’t get to see Sprint Cars very often, if at all. I’m looking forward to both and hoping we put on a good show.”

With his dedicated Pokorski Motorsports crew, featuring crew chief Dave Schultz, Randy Leamer, Dan Hoerig, Ian Schultz, Aaron Pederson, Alex Pokorski, Lynn Pokorski, Heather Pokorski, Sheila Leamer, Chuck Tuschl, Karin Tuschl and Melissa Schultz, and some trusted technical advisors and equipment suppliers on his side this year, Pokorski is aiming to make some noise in 2018.

Paul Pokorski is set to embark on his 26th season of racing in 2018.

“Todd Goodwin has made some changes to the engine that should help to improve our performance in that area this year,” Pokorski said. “We have some new shocks coming to build off what we learned last year.”

Pokorski is pleased to welcome Quest Engineering of Richfield, Wis. to the team as a new sponsor for the 2018 season.

“We spent time working on new sponsorship for this year and we are very happy to announce that Quest Engineering, a manufacturer of quality cabinets, will be coming on board for 2018,” Pokorski said. “We will be sharing much more information about Quest Engineering and what they do in the near future.”

Pokorski Motorsports racks up 11th top-10 finish

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 13, 2017 – After rain washed out the previous two weekends of racing, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team eagerly returned to action last Saturday, Sept. 9 at The Plymouth Dirt Track.

With a stout field of 29 PDTR 360 Sprint Cars signed in for the evening, Pokorski drew the sixth starting position in the third PDTR 360 Sprint Car heat race. Pokorski was strong from the start of the third heat race, working past three cars over the course of the 10-lap event to post a third-place showing and claim a spot in the 25-lap A-main event.

Following the invert, Pokorski lined up fourth in the 25-lap PDTR 360 Sprint Car A main. The 2014 Midwest Sprint Car Association Masters Series champion ran in the third position in the early going utilizing the high line of the smooth, slick, multi-groove racing surface.

As the race progressed, Pokorski struggled to find speed exiting the corners. He eventually placed eighth in the final running order in a race won by Justin Miller. It was Pokorski’s 11th top-10 finish of the 2017 season.

The car felt really good all night,” Pokorski said. “I’m not sure what we were lacking in the feature, but we were getting beat on the corner exit.”

Just one race remains on the 2017 schedule for the Pokorski Motorsports team on Saturday, Sept. 30, at The Plymouth Dirt Track. The event will cap the 2017 point series for both the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car division and Midwest Sprint Car Association.

Heading into the final race of the season, Pokorski sits 9th in the PDTR Sprint Car point standings and 7th in MSA points.

I’m not ready for the season to be over yet, but it should be a great show on September 30th,” Pokorski said. “I’m a little disappointed with where we are sitting in the point standings, but we had an A-main win and some fun along the way this year. No matter what, we will be fired up to do it all again next year.”

Along with the PDTR/MSA 360 Sprint Cars, the final race of the 2017 season at The Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday, Sept. 30 will also feature the Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Cars, Wisconsin Wingless Sprint Cars and Wisconsin-Illinois Mini Sprints. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The Pokorski Motorsports sponsors for the 2017 season include: Acme Armature Works Inc., Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Christel Sign, Tisler Salvage Inc. and The Cawley Company.

Pokorski Motorsports vaults back onto the podium

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 19, 2017 – After enduring a string of relatively unremarkable weekends of action, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team returned to form with a strong second-place finish in Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car action at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth on Saturday, July 15.

With 25 PDTR Sprint Cars on hand, Pokorski lined up fourth in the second heat race and came home third to qualify for the A main.

Thanks to a highly favorable draw, Pokorski started the 22-car A-main from the pole, jumping out to the lead on the opening lap ahead of Kurt Davis, Tony Wondra and Danny Schlafer.

Pokorski, who rode the cushion throughout the race, encountered lapped traffic on lap 7 and two laps later Davis dove into the lead with a slide job in turn one.

However, Davis collided with Justin Miller on the next lap as part of a five-car incident, which brought out the first caution flag of the race.

With Davis out of the event, Pokorski regained the top spot on the restart with Schlafer right behind. Pokorski and Schlafer battled back and forth on lap 11 before Schlafer took the lead for good in turn one on lap 12.

Pokorski held strong over the final 13 laps to post the runner-up finish behind Schlafer. It was Pokorski’s best finish since placing fourth in the PDTR Sprint Car A main on June 10.

“We had made some changes to the car in the shop and had a different starting point than we had the past few weeks,” Pokorski said. “We were a little tight in hot laps. We made some changes and were a little loose in the heat, but that is what we were shooting for.

“Starting on the pole is a little bit nerve racking,” he said. “There are only two options – win or go backwards. I hate going backwards. Second is decent and adds to our our list of top-5 finishes for the year, but it’s a little frustrating to lead the first 10 laps and then end up second.”

This Saturday, July 22, the team will return to The Plymouth Dirt Track for the annual Autograph Night program. All kids in attendance will receive a free checkered flag courtesy of Hopf Farms. Racing is set to get under way at 6 p.m.

All fans are invited to stop by the Pokorski Motorsports pit area after the races to meet Paul and to pick up racing action cards and other goodies.

Pokorski Motorsports Sponsor Showcase – Acme Armature Works Inc.

Pokorski Motorsports will like to welcome Acme Armature Works Inc. of Sheboygan as a new sponsor for the 2017 racing season

Acme Armature Works Inc. debuted last September when Chad Bahrs purchased Sheboygan Armature Works. Located at 2727 North 21st St. in Sheboygan, Acme Armature Works specializes in electrical and servo motor repair and sales for industrial and commercial customers.

Bahrs, who resides in Elkhart Lake with his wife Jamie and three children, describes Acme Armature Works as a one-stop electrical apparatus service shop.

“We specialize in all types of electric motors, spindles, servo motors, and electro-mechanical devices for industrial, commercial and agricultural customers,” Bahrs said. “We are a factory-authorized warranty service center for a wide range of manufactures. We also offer value-added services such as an in-house machine shop, computerized precision dynamic balancing, vibration analysis, predictive/preventative maintenance, welding and light fabricating.”

When it comes to diagnosing problems, providing proper repair analysis and delivering top-notch service for servo motors, Acme’s repair team boasts over 100 years of combined experience working with a wide selection of complex motor systems.

“We specialize in fast, accurate repair, rewind and re-manufacture of all brands of servo motors,” Bahrs said. “During our repair process, every encoder or all feedback devices are checked for proper signals and alignment.”

Acme Armature Works is PDTA (Power Transmission Distributors Association) and EASA (Electrical Apparatus Service Association) certified. In addition, Acme recently earned the Recommended Practice for the Repair of Rotating Electrical Apparatus (ANSI/EASA AR100-2015) accreditation.

Bahrs says Acme’s ability to provide unique in-shop services sets it apart among its competition.

“I think the fact that we do balancing, machine work and welding in our shop sets us apart,” Bahrs said. “We have the ability to do blower wheel balancing, provide a wide range of machine work and weld cast iron, which you don’t see in every other shop.”

Acme Armature Works also sells many makes and models of electric and servo motors.

Pokorski Motorsports searches for consistency

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 12, 2017 – For the second week in a row, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team competed in a doubleheader weekend of Sprint Car racing action Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8.

The weekend racing festivities got started Friday, July 7 at the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam for a Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) event on the high speed “horsepower half mile.”

With NASCAR legend Tony Stewart on hand to compete in the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series portion of the program and the new Dirt Kings Late Model Series rounding out the card, a standing-room-only crowd was in attendance.

Rain hit the track after IRA qualifying, which forced the action to be delayed. When racing resumed, Paul lined up eighth in the first MSA Sprint Car heat race and came home seventh.

With 23 cars entered in the event, all drivers transferred to the 20-lap A-main with Pokorski lining up 16th. Mainly through attrition, which yielded two caution flags in the first six laps, Pokorski moved up to 13th on lap 7. He remained in that position until the final restart of the event on lap 16.

That is when the 25-year veteran found his groove charging past six cars over the final four laps to post a seventh-place showing.

Friday started pretty poorly,” Pokorski said. “The car was terrible in hot laps and in the heat race. We made some good changes for the A main. Once we got rolling and could try out a few lines, the car felt pretty good. Overall, I was happy to go forward in the A main.”

On Saturday night at The Plymouth Dirt Track, Pokorski started seventh in the first PDTR Sprint Car heat race and passed two cars to finish fifth.

With 22 MSA cars in the pits, again there was no B main and all drivers on hand transferred automatically to the extended PDTR Mid-Season Championship 30-lap main event.

Pokorski started ninth in the A main, but got shuffled to the rear of the field when the car lined up in directly front of him did not take off at drop of the green flag. As a result, Pokorski found himself running in the 18th position by lap 10.

Pokorski was unable to mount a significant rally over the final 20 laps and wound up crossing the finish line 15th.

On Saturday night, we were struggling with some set-up stuff that I decided to try in the heat race,” Pokorski said. “We changed some things for the A, but we didn’t anticipate the track changing as much as it did. We also struggled with a throttle return spring issue, which has since been fixed. I can’t wait until Saturday to hopefully have a better effort.”

This Saturday, July 15, the team will return to The Plymouth Dirt Track for Fan Appreciation Night. The program will feature reduced ticket prices with adults getting in for $5 and $3 admission for youths age 12-15. Kids 11 and under are free.

Racing is set to get under way at 6 p.m.

Pokorski Motorsports completes holiday weekend double dip

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 5, 2017 – Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team celebrated the Fourth of July Independence Day holiday weekend just as you would expect a dedicated Sprint Car racing team would, by entering a pair of events at two different tracks and with two different series.

On Saturday, July 1, the team took part in a Midwest Sprint Car Association/Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car event at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis.

The following night the team switched gears and joined the Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series at the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. on Sunday, July 2.

Saturday’s event at Plymouth nearly fell victim to rain as two rain showers drenched the track and pit area late in the afternoon as teams were filing into the pit area.

The PDTR staff worked diligently to get the track into respectable shape and after a 30-minute delay, the night got under way with a stout field of 28 MSA Sprint Cars separated into four heat races.

After lining up fourth in the fourth Sprint Car heat race, Pokorski drove his backup J&J car past Tom Kreutz to move into third place on the opening lap of the 10-lap event.

Pokorski held the position over the final nine laps to finish third behind race winner Kurt Davis and runner-up Kenjay Fiedler. His third-place showing in the heat race was good enough to qualify Pokorski for the A-main event, where he started 10th.

On the drop of the green flag for the 25-lap main event. Pokorski advanced to ninth by lap 3. Following a caution flag, the 2014 MSA Masters Series champion restarted eighth.

After another caution period resulted in further attrition, Pokorski restarted seventh and looked poised to challenge for a top-five finish. However, the engine began to stumble over the final 10 laps, which eventually relegated 25-year veteran to a 12th-place finish.

“The track turned out to be very nice considering the weather issues earlier in the day,” Pokorski said. “We’re pretty sure we had another magneto go bad during the feature. It was disappointing to have that happen, but it is something we can deal with. The good part is that we were able to finish the race.”

On Sunday night, the Pokorski Motorsports team made the short drive from its shop in Whitelaw to the 141 Speedway to compete in an IRA event.

The evening served as a test-and-tune session for the team’s primary 2016 Maxim car, which suffered engine woes at Angell Park on June 11 and again at Plymouth on June 17, forcing Pokorski to scratch from both events.

Competing against the high-horsepower 410 cubic-inch IRA cars, Pokorski finished ninth after starting 11th in the first heat race and wound up ninth after starting 10th in the B main.

Despite missing a transfer to the A main by three spots in the B, Pokorski was pleased with the performance of Maxim car, which has been on and off the track with various mechanical woes so far this year.

“On Sunday night, we were pretty happy with the way things went and certainly thrilled to have figured out our issues with that car,” Pokorski said. “We would have liked to have made the A to get a few more laps and try some different set up options, but overall we were able to accomplish what we had set out to do there.”

The team is looking forward to another doubleheader weekend starting this Friday, July 7, when the MSA makes its first and only appearance of the 2017 season at the giant half-mile Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam for the Harry Nietzel Tribute Night.

At last year’s July event at Dodge County, Pokorski finished second in the A-main, which turned out to be his best main event showing of the season.

In addition, NASCAR legend and multi-time USAC Sprint Car, Midget and Silver Crown champion Tony Stewart will be competing in the IRA portion of the program.

Hot laps are slated to start at 6 p.m. with qualifying to follow. Along with the MSA and IRA Sprint Cars, the Dirt Kings Late Model Series will also be on the card.

“I am looking forward to Dodge County this Friday night for the Harry Nietzel Tribute event,” Pokorski said. “It should be a great night of Sprint Car racing. We’ve had reasonable success the last few times we’ve been there. I didn’t used to be crazy about the place, but it’s starting to grow on me.”

On Saturday night, the team will return to The Plymouth Dirt Track for the midseason championship night of racing, which will get under way at 6 p.m.

The Pokorski Motorsports sponsors for the 2017 season include: Acme Armature Works Inc., Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Christel Sign, Tisler Salvage Inc. and The Cawley Company.

Pokorski Motorsports perseveres through eventful weekend

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 28, 2017 – After engine problems forced Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team to scratch from the previous two Midwest Sprint Car Association events, a doubleheader weekend of action produced decidedly mixed results at Spring Lake Speedway in Unity, Wisconsin and The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds.

On Friday, June 23, the Pokorski Motorsports team made the long trek north for its first visit to the Spring Lake Speedway where a strong field of 27 cars gathered for the MSA’s first race at the track since 2004.

The allure of seeing Sprint Cars take to the track for the first time in 13 years attracted an enthusiastic, capacity crowd to the recently upgraded Spring Lake Speedway facility, formerly known as Monster Hall Raceway.

“Friday night at Spring Lake Speedway was pretty awesome for the MSA as a club,” Pokorski said. “The track was nice, the people were great and the car count was excellent. I hope we will make another trip up there next year for sure.”

Pokorski started fifth in the third Sprint Car heat race at Spring Lake Speedway and powered past Josh Teunissen and Wayne Modjeski to take over third place, following a restart on lap 2.

The 25-year veteran then chased down Dick Kaiser and made an impressive pass in turn four on the final lap to notch a strong second-place finish.

Following the inversion, Pokorski lined up 11th in the 25-lap Sprint Car A main. After falling back to 14th on the start, Pokorski held his own as most of the field ran the low groove for the majority of the race.

A three-car incident in turn four on the final lap allowed Pokorski to gain three spots and finish the race in 11th place.

“We did fairly well and I was happy with the night at Spring Lake,” Pokorski said.

A return date for MSA at Spring Lake was tentatively scheduled on Friday, Aug. 25, but the two parties have agreed for forgo that date and will work on scheduling at least one and possibly multiple races at the facility in 2018.

Things did not go nearly as smoothly for the team the following night at The Plymouth Dirt Track.

After starting sixth in the first Plymouth Dirt Track Racing Sprint Car heat race, Pokorski wound up seventh to fall short of transferring to the A main through its heat.

Despite suffering a cracked header in the B main, Pokorski moved up from the eighth starting spot to finish fourth and earn a transfer spot to the A main.

“We missed the setup by a bunch in the heat race and didn’t do very well at all,” Pokorski said. “We had a header crack in the B, which didn’t really affect the performance of the car. It just made me nervous that something bigger was going wrong because I could hear the engine tone change.”

After replacing the header, Pokorski started 20th in the A main. While running 16th, Pokorski’s luck turned sour again when he was unable to avoid the spinning car of Kevin Karnitz in turn four. The resulting contact produced too much damage to the front end of the car to continue and Pokorski was scored 20th.

“In the A main we were just average and ran into a little misfortune when someone else lost control and spun in front of me,” Pokorski said. “I clipped them on the way by, messing up the front end of the car and ending our night.”

Aside from the misfortunate on the track Saturday night, the team also had to deal with mechanical problems on its tow vehicle, as well as the logistics of getting its primary engine, which had been causing problems for the team in recent weeks, back home from the team’s engine builder.

“The truck Paul uses for pulling the race car trailer barely made it to the track on Friday night at Spring Lake and could not make it all the way home,” Pokorski Motorsports Crew Chief Dave Schultz said. “Mike and Pam Emme brought Chuck Tuschl’s truck down to Plymouth on their way to Beaver Dam. Paul had his motor from our primary Maxim car in the back of his truck, which he had picked up from the engine builder on Friday on the way to Unity.

“We would like to thank Brandon McMullen for helping to move the motor from Paul’s truck to Chuck’s truck,” he said. “Paul then pulled the trailer home using Chuck’s truck. Paul’s wife, Lynn, drove their truck home and with not having to pull anything, it made it home.”

The Pokorski Motorsports team will race its back-up J&J car in PDTR competition this Saturday, July 1 at Plymouth. On Sunday, July 2, the team plans to test out the engine in its primary Maxim car during an Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Sprint Car event at the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

“The engine builder found nothing wrong with the motor in the Maxim, which we had been having trouble with at Angell Park on June 11th and then again at Plymouth the following Saturday,” Schultz said. “That means we will doing a lot of diagnosing of the engine during IRA event at 141. Hopefully, we can find the issue on Sunday night.”

Back-up plan pays dividends for Pokorski Motorsports

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 17, 2017 – After suffering through one of the most disappointing opening nights in the 25-year history of Pokorski Motorsports, Paul Pokorski and his team roared back to life in a big way in Plymouth Dirt Track Racing action at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wisconsin Saturday, May 13.

With the team’s 2016 Maxim temporarily on the sidelines in the wake of a hard crash on opening night May 6, Pokorski climbed back behind the wheel of his trusty 2011 J&J back-up car and promptly posted a strong third-place finish in the 25-lap A PDTR Sprint Car A main.

Pokorski opened the evening with a sterling runner-up performance in the second Sprint Car heat race. After starting sixth, Pokorski wasted no time in making a charge to the front of the field. A daring high move on the opening lap of the 10-lap race pushed the 2014 Midwest Sprint Car Association Masters Series champion past Bill Taylor and Kevin Karnitz into fourth.

Pokorski then executed a low move to work past Josh Teunissen into third place on lap 2. After a caution for Teunissen’s stalled car bunched the field on lap 5, Pokorski powered around Chris Clayton on the restart to take over second behind race leader Tim Haddy.

The sterling run in the heat race put Pokorski on the outside of the front row for the A-main. On the opening lap, Pokorski fell in behind polesitter Lance Fassbender and fourth starter Shane Wenninger on lap 1.

As track conditions began to deteriorate with rubber laid down, Pokorski held his own in the top three. On lap 15, Brandon McMullen dove under Pokorski in turn one to drop the West Bend 25-year veteran driver to fourth .

Three laps later, Fassbender stopped on the backstretch, which vaulted Pokorski back to third. Pokorski held on over the final seven laps to secure a strong podium finish, behind runner-up Brandon McMullen and race winner Shane Wenninger.

“I was a little unsure how the switch of cars would go,” Pokorski said. “The way the car worked in the heat race made me feel much better.”

Pokorski Motosports Crew Chief Dave Schultz said the track changed more than the team anticipated for the A main.

“We changed gears before the A main, which turned out to be a mistake,” Schultz said. “Everyone did the same thing as we did though, so we can’t feel too bad. No one was thinking that the track would take rubber like it did. That’s just racing on a dirt track.”

Pokorski is aiming to get the team’s primary car back on track soon.

“We will be working this week on the other chassis that was repaired quickly thanks to R&H Enterprises and get it ready for either this week or the following week for sure,” he said.

This Saturday the team will return to The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth this Saturday, May 20 for the third race of the 2017 season. Racing begins at 6 p.m.

The Pokorski Motorsports sponsors for the 2017 season include: Acme Armature Works Inc., Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Christel Sign, Tisler Salvage Inc. and The Cawley Company.

Tough luck slows Pokorski Motorsports in season opener

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

Those spirits were dampened just a few hours later, when an opening lap accident in the PDTR Sprint Car A main sent the team scrambling to formulate a plan to repair a damaged chassis and chisel together a back-up car for this Saturday’s event at Plymouth.

The evening began with Pokorski starting on the inside of the second row in the second PDTR Sprint Car heat race. While running third behind Tony Wondra on the final lap of the heat race, Pokorski lost control of his 2016 Maxim in turn four.

The spin relegated Pokorski to a fifth-place finish and a spot in the B main.

After starting fourth in the B main, Pokorski slipped past Doug Wondra to move into second on the opening lap. Over the final 13 laps, Kevin Karnitz and Robbie Pribnow snuck past Pokorski to push the 2014 Midwest Sprint Car Association Masters Series champ back to fourth.

Pokorski held on to secure a fourth-place finish in the B main, which locked him into the 20th spot in the A-main starting lineup.

“Saturday night was the second-worst opening night in the 25-year history of Pokorski Motorsports,” Pokorski said. “The heat race was going okay until the driver tried too hard and messed things up. The B main went okay. I was running kind of conservatively, so that I didn’t make another stupid mistake and make things worse . The mistake in the heat race ultimately was the reason we started near the back of the A main, which put us in a bad spot.”

On the opening lap of the 25-lap A main, disaster struck as Pokorski was unable to avoid an accident in turn three involving Lance Fassbender and Andrew Westphal.

“I saw the wreck happening up in front of me, but I couldn’t get stopped in time,” Pokorski said. “Initially, I couldn’t go left either because of the other cars there, so I ended up getting involved in the accident. It was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The accident relegated Pokorski to a 22nd-place finish in the A main and sent the team into high gear work mode to strip down the primary car and set up the team’s backup J&J car for action this weekend.

“I have to thank my crew and the guys at R&H Enterprises for working on the chassis,” Pokorski said. “We have switched everything over to the backup J&J car for this Saturday at Plymouth. We will get the Maxim back out in a week or two.”

This Saturday the team will return to The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth for the second race of the 2017 season. Racing begins at 6 p.m.

The Pokorski Motorsports sponsors for the 2017 season include: Acme Armature Works Inc., Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Christel Sign, Tisler Salvage Inc. and The Cawley Company.

Pokorski Motorsports set to push off silver anniversary season

By Jeff Pederson – Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) April 27, 2017 – After a long winter of preparation, the Paul Pokorski Motorsports team will open its 25th anniversary season in full throttle with an action-packed, three-race weekend.

The team will fire up the 2017 season by entering the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series Battle on the Bay event at the Luxemburg Speedway Friday, April 28. Pokorski and his crew will then head south to kick off the Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) season at the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing opener Saturday, April 29. The team will then round out its three-race weekend excursion by competing in the MSA portion of the Harry Neitzel Memorial event at Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on Sunday, April 30.

Pokorski, who began his racing career in the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car (EWSC) Winged Super Modified division in 1993, is looking forward to the opportunity to get the 2017 season off to a strong start.

“The goals for the weekend are to have some fun at Luxemburg running with the IRA guys and hopefully shake out any little bugs from the car and the driver,” Pokorski said. “On Saturday and Sunday things get a little bit more intense. We finished pretty strong the last few nights at Plymouth last year, and we’ve had a few good runs at Dodge County lately. I’m hoping that we can build off those recent showings and kick our season off right.

In 21 Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) 360 sprint car events last year, Pokorski posted five top-five finishes in A-main competition, along with 12 top-10 A-main finishes and seven heat race victories. The team also competed in four Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series events, highlighted by a 19th-place A-main finish at the now defunct Manitowoc Expo Speedway on July 1.

The team’s best A-main finish of the 2016 season was a second-place showing in MSA competition at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on July 8th.

The 2014 MSA Masters Series champ and a three-time EWSC Winged Super Modified champion, has penciled in a total of 33 races at six different tracks in 2017, including 20 races at the Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds – the home track of the MSA.

IRA qualifying at Luxemburg Speedway is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28. Racing is set to start at 6 p.m. at the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing opener on Saturday, April 29. A special early start time will be in effect at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on Sunday, April 30, with warm ups at 4 p.m. and racing at 5:30 p.m.

The Pokorski Motorsports sponsors for the 2017 season include: Acme Armature Works Inc., Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Christel Sign, Tisler Salvage Inc. and The Cawley Company.

Pokorski Motorsports preps to fire up silver anniversary season

By Jeff Pederson, Pedal Down Promotions

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) March 9, 2017 – On the heels of a solid 2016 season, the Paul Pokorski Motorsports 360 sprint car racing team is looking to make some noise as it celebrates its 25th season of competition in 2017.

Armed with a brand new 2016 Maxim last year, the team endured plenty of trial and error in learning the subtle nuances of an unfamiliar car.

In 21 Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) 360 sprint car events last year, Pokorski posted five top-five finishes in A-main competition, along with 12 top-10 A-main finishes and seven heat race victories. The team also competed in four Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series events, highlighted by a 19th-place A-main finish at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway, the team’s home track, on July 1.

The team’s best A-main finish of the 2016 season was a second-place showing at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on July 8th.

In addition, the Pokorski team fell just short in its quest to capture the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Sprint Car championship in the final season of racing at the now defunct Manitowoc Expo Speedway, eventually finishing four-points behind Brandon McMullen in the chase for the title.

“Our 2016 season was decent,” Pokorski said. “We didn’t get a feature win, but we had a few strong seconds and thirds, and won some heat races. Most importantly, we got better on the dry slick tracks. Since dry slick seems to be the way race tracks are trending, that is really important.”

Just as it has done for the past 24 years, the team has spent the offseason preparing meticulously for what Pokorski hopes will be a successful 25th season of action.

“This year’s approach is pretty much like each of the last 24,” Pokorski said. “We have been getting everything as fresh as we can afford to, while making sure we have the spares ready to go to make any hiccups during the season easier to cope with when the schedule is tight.

“I am hoping that this year starts out consistent,” he said. “Last year, it took until about mid-season to really start clicking. That is when we found a good baseline to work from. We’ll start there this year and hope to improve on it as we go.”

After coming up dry in the chase for an A-main victory last season, Pokorski has set a return to victory lane as his main goal for 2017.

“My goal as a driver is to win some races and not wreck stuff,” Pokorski said. “Above all, I have to confess that I’ll be disappointed if we don’t get at least one A-main win this year.”

As far as the team’s 2017 schedule is concerned, Pokorski has tentatively penciled a total of 33 races at six different tracks, including 20 races at the Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds – the home track of the Midwest Sprint Car Association.

Pokorski Motorsports is also tentatively scheduled to run a handful of Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series races, including three events at the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek and one at the Luxemburg Speedway.

“We will run 100 percent of the races with MSA, if all goes as planned,” said Pokorski, who captured the 2014 MSA Masters Series championship. “The team is also planning to run a select few IRA shows.”

Reflecting on his lengthy career in racing both EWSC Winged Super Modifieds and MSA sprint cars, Pokorski has accumulated many cherished memories.

“Where has the time gone? I don’t feel that much older,” Pokorski said. “I can remember starting out in 1993 very clearly. I certainly remember the first few career feature wins in 1996. We destroyed my first race car on opening night after preparing it all winter long. We thrashed to replace it with a new chassis we put together from scratch in two weeks. Then we proceeded to have a break out year and win the last two features of the year. The championship years of 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2014 in general terms were all memorable for their own reasons.”

Along with the team’s many highlights, which includes 44 A-main victories (35 EWSC Winged Super Modfieds and 9 MSA Sprint Car), Pokorski recalls one significant low point.

“I recall destroying my second car on the front stretch in a collision with Pete Ostrowski at Plymouth, in I think it was 2001,” Pokorski said. “That still hurts when I think about it. I’m glad Pete and I both walked away from that wreck.”

Overall, Pokorski enters his 25th season thankful for the assistance he has received through the years.

“Finally, I’m just grateful to have had all the friends and family that have supported me, and continue to do so,” Pokorski said. “I couldn’t do this without them.”

Pokorski Motorsports is set to open the 2017 season with a three-race weekend April 28-30. The team will begin by running with the IRA at Luxemburg Speedway on Friday, April 28, followed by the MSA opener at the Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday, April 29 and another MSA event at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on Sunday, April 30.

Pokorski Motorsports closes book on 2016

Pokorski team eyes silver anniversary season in 2017

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) November 1, 2016 – On the heels of two consecutive rock solid and highly successful campaigns, the recently completed 2016 racing season featured plenty of peaks and valleys for Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports 360 sprint car team.

After capturing the Midwest Sprint Car Association Masters Series championship in 2014 and backing that up with a strong runner-up showing in the MSA series standings in 2015, Pokorski elected to park the team’s trusty 2011 J&J in favor of a brand new 2016 Maxim chassis.

The chassis change kept the team on its toes throughout a roller coaster 25-race 2016 campaign.

“Heading into 2016 with the new car, we knew that there would be a learning curve,” Pokorski said. “The learning curve was a little steeper than I thought it would be, but we are pretty happy with what we learned. I am glad that we found some consistency at the end of the year.”

In 21 MSA events, Pokorski posted five top-five finishes in A-main competition, along with 12 top-10 A-main finishes and seven heat race victories. The team also competed in four Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series events, highlighted by a 19th-place A-main finish at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway, the team’s home track, on July 1.

The season marked just the third campaign since 1995 in which Pokorski failed to record an A-main victory.

The team’s best A-main finish of the 2016 season was a second-place showing at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on July 8th.

“The highlight of the season for me was when we ran second at Dodge County,” Pokorski said. “That finish is something I would not have predicted for us at that track. We also had several good runs at Manitowoc. Smooth, dry, slick race tracks have never been my thing, so those nights when we can do well in those conditions are memorable for me. The final night at Plymouth was also a solid night on a slick track.”

The team also found itself in the thick of a championship points battle in the final season of Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car racing action at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway.

Pokorski entered the final race night ever at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway on Sept. 3 just three points behind 2015 MSA champion Brandon McMullen in the chase for the EWSC sprint car title.

After running in close quarters throughout the final A main event, McMullen came home seventh and Pokorski placed ninth, with McMullen prevailing to capture the track championship by a four-point margin over Pokorski.

“I was really happy to have a shot at the Manitowoc track championship, especially since it was the final season of racing there,” Pokorski said. “We had some good runs there leading up to that night, so I felt pretty confident we would go out and run well.

“The heat race was great,” he said. “We had to start 10th in the feature and I was fine with that. It became a little frustrating when I couldn’t go forward during the main. I could see Brandon was just in front of me and I noticed that he was also having trouble making up any ground. The carrot was out there and I just couldn’t grab it. That was frustrating. It still is.”

The 2016 season was also dotted by a handful of disappointments for Pokorski and his team.

“We had a header come loose causing a fire while we were leading a feature at Plymouth,” Pokorski said. “I really think it cost us a win that night. That was definitely the low point of the year.

“We got caught up in a few incidents around the end of July, beginning of August that were really not caused by us, which was a frustrating stretch,” Pokorski said. “When that type of thing happens, I just try to remind myself that when you race there are going to be those periods of bad luck, and it can always be worse. Luckily, we have people and parts in place to deal with a few bumps here and there.”

Despite missing a race at Plymouth to attend a wedding, Pokorski wound up sixth in the final MSA point standings and placed 11th in the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing point standings.

Pokorski gave special recognition to his pit crew for their dedication during a challenging season.

“I want to thank Dave Schultz, Randy Leamer, Dan Hoerig and the rest of the crew for their support,” Pokorski said. “They always do a fantastic job.”

Pokorski would like to thank sponsors Goeden’s Auto Body, Goodwin Racing Engines, Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services & Crematory, Kettle Moraine Landscaping, Novak’s Service Center, Pedal Down Promotions, Christel Sign, Tisler Salvage Inc. and The Cawley Company for their support during the 2016 season.

The 2017 season will mark the 25th silver anniversary season of racing for Pokorski Motorsports.

“I am really looking forward to 2017,” Pokorski said. “It is going to be our 25th season of racing, which is a pretty big milestone. We are hoping to make it special for our fans and sponsors.”

Pokorski Motorsports is seeking sponsorship partners for the 2017 season. For information on how to join the team for its silver anniversary season, contact Paul Pokorski via the Pokorski Motorsports Facebook page or by email at pokorskiracing@sbcglobal.net.

Pokorski Motorsports eyes Dodge County curtain closer

Pokorski looks to close out 2016 season on high note

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 27, 2016 – After nearly a month off from competition, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team will return to action for the final Midwest Sprint Car Association event of the 2016 season this Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam.

The team has been idle since completing a tripleheader weekend at the Plymouth Dirt Track, Manitowoc Speedway and 141 Speedway in Francis Creek over the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.

After a rare in-season four-week break, Pokorski is eager to get back in the seat for the 2016 MSA finale on the high speed Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway, which is commonly referred to as “the horsepower half mile.”

The lightning fast facility has been quite kind to the Pokorski Motorsports team this year. Pokorski drove to a season-best second place finish in the MSA A main on July 8 and followed that up with a solid eighth place showing in A main action on Aug. 5.        .

“Dodge County is not my favorite track, but I like it better than some others,” Pokorski said. “Now that we’ve been there a few times, I’m starting to feel more comfortable than I did a couple years ago.”

Pokorski enters the final race of the 2016 in an unfamiliar position. Since 1995, the 24-year veteran West Bend driver has recorded an A main victory in every season except two (2011, 2013), including feature race triumphs during each of the past two seasons. However, an A main triumph has eluded the team this season.

Pokorski enters the Dodge County curtain closer sixth in MSA points, three points behind Lance Fassbender, who currently stands fifth.

After the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing season finale was rained out on Sept. 10, Pokorski ended the PDTR season 11th in points, despite missing a night to attend a wedding.

He wound up second in points in Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car action at Manitowoc Speedway, just four points behind 2016 EWSC champion Brandon McMullen, who leads Kurt Davis by 14 points in the MSA standings going into Saturday’s finale.

Pokorski says the team has spent the bulk of the 2016 season getting acquainted with the ins and outs of its new Maxim.

“The new car definitely presented us with a bit of a learning curve this year,” Pokorski said. “I feel like we really started to get a hold of it the last month or so.”

Pokorski hopes to cap the 2016 season on a high note before the team begins preparations for the 2017 campaign, which will mark the team’s silver anniversary season of competition.

“I’m hoping we can finish strong and head into the offseason with a positive attitude,” Pokorski said. “I am looking forward to taking the car apart and going through it over the winter in preparation for our 25th season of racing in 2017.”

Joining the MSA series at the Dodge County Fairgrounds this Saturday will be the Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series and the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association Lucky 7 Series. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with racing to follow at 7:15 p.m

Pokorski Motorsports completes tripleheader weekend

Pokorski team falls just short of Manitowoc Speedway title

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 7, 2016 – With three races in three days at three different tracks, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team put in some hard work and extended hours over the Labor Day weekend, which paid off in the form of a pair of heat race victories and two top-10 A-main finishes.

The three-race holiday weekend began Friday, Sept. 2, as the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR)-Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) 360 Sprint Car Series joined forces with the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series to stage a special race at the Plymouth Dirt Track during the Sheboygan County Fair.

With a stellar field of 34 PDTR-MSA Sprint Cars on hand, Pokorski started 6th in the third heat race. On the drop of the green flag, Pokorski bolted into the runner-up positions with a series of bold moves in the opening laps. On lap 2, Pokorski worked past Zach Raidart to grab second.

Two laps later, Pokorski ducked under race leader Josh Teunissen with a low move in turn two to take over the top spot. Pokorski then pulled away to a full straightaway victory over Teunissen.

After starting the 25-lap PDTR-MSA Sprint Car A main from the fourth starting spot, Pokorski slipped past Shane Wenninger and Jim Melis on the opening lap to move into the runner-up position.

Three laps later, two-time PDTR Sprint Car track champion and current point leader Donny Goeden maneuvered underneath Pokorski to take over second place.

Pokorski held strong over the final 21 circuits on the way to a season-best third-place A-main showing at Plymouth behind race winner Donny Goeden and runner-up Lance Fassbender.

“Friday night at Plymouth was great for us,” Pokorski said. “We were all very happy with the result obviously. A top-three finish is always a nice accomplishment.”

On Saturday night, the team traveled north to the Manitowoc Speedway for the track’s final ever racing program. The special grand finale event drew a huge field of 179 cars in eight divisions, including 32 Sprint Cars, and was contested before a huge crowd of long-time Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car and Manitowoc Speedway supporters and well-wishers.

The final race at Pokorski Motorsports’ home track was also significant because the team entered the night just three points behind Brandon McMullen in the chase for the 2016 EWSC Sprint Car track title.

The evening got off to a promising start for Pokorski in the first Sprint Car heat race. After starting on the outside of the front row, Pokorski powered past polesitter Kurt Davis to seize the lead in turn one of the opening lap. The Manitowoc native then pulled away to notch his second heat race victory in as many nights by a half straightaway margin over Davis.

After the conclusion of heat race action, Pokorski entered the final Sprint Car A main at the Manitowoc Speedway just two point behind McMullen in the race for the 2016 track championship.

Pokorski lined up 10th and McMullen started 11th in the A main event. After McMullen slipped past Pokorski on the initial start, the title contending duo found themselves running 8th and 9th respectively in the early going.

With the championship on the line, Pokorski attempted to slide past McMullen on lap 5, but the 2015 MSA championship held off the challenge of 2014 MSA Masters Series champ to maintain the position.

After a caution slowed the field on lap 7, Pokorski lost three spots on the ensuing restart to fall back to 11th place. He battled back to pass Kenjay Fiedler and Chris Clayton on lap 11 to move into eighth place on lap 11.

As the laps wound down, Danny Schlafer worked past Pokorski to claim the eighth position. Pokorski went on to post a 9th place showing, while McMullen came home 7th to secure the 2016 EWSC Sprint Car championship by two points over Pokorski. Jim Melis earned the final Sprint Car victory at the Manitowoc Speedway

“Saturday night was just okay for us,” Pokorski said. “The car was really good in the heat and handled as we expected. We missed the set-up in the feature a little. The track was slicker than I anticipated it would be, but overall the night wasn’t terrible.

“The heat race win on the final night at Manitowoc was nice, but I wish it would have been the main. I am a little disappointed that I didn’t capitalize on the opportunity to win the final track championship at Manitowoc. But we lost it to a great race team and great, talented racer in Brandon McMullen, which makes it a little easier to bear.”

On Sunday night, the team joined the IRA 410 Sprint Car Series with its 360 car at the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek. Pokorski qualified 28th in the 29-car field before starting and finishing 10th in the first IRA heat race of the night. In the B main, Pokorski posted a 10th place finish in the 11-car field to miss out on an A-Main transfer spot.

“Sunday night did not go as well as I would have hoped, but I learned a few things that will hopefully help us when we go back there,” Pokorski said.

Pokorski Motorsports Crew Chief Dave Schultz said 141 Speedway’s unique configuration kept the team guessing throughout the night.

“The track has two very different corners,” Schultz said. “Turn one and two is pretty open and sweeping, but turn three and four is very tight and hard to get a handle on. We figured out that we need to set up the car to work well in three and four above everything else. That will be our focus the next time we race there.”

Pokorski was thankful for the support he received in completing the three-race weekend swing.

“I want to thank my family and crew for making the three straight nights of racing possible,” Pokorski said. “I had to work all three days and I couldn’t have done it without all the help. I truly appreciate everything they do. To top it off, the crew had to deal with a transmission issue on the tow vehicle. They ended up having to borrow my parents’ truck at the last minute to get us to the track on Sunday night.”

Only two races remain on the team’s 2016 schedule. The next race for the Pokorski Motorsports team is the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) season finale at Sheboygan County Fair Park this Saturday, Sept. 10. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

The team will then close out the 2016 season with the MSA season finale at the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Pokorski Motorsports eyes Manitowoc prize

Pokorski team gears up for final ever race at hometown track

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 30, 2016 – Throughout the 2016 season, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team have been searching for some elusive consistency to run at the front of the pack week in and week out.

However, consistency or running at the front of the pack certainly haven’t been a problem at the team’s home track – Manitowoc Speedway, where Pokorski has not finished out of the top six in five Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) A main events this season, including a pair of top five showings (third on July 29 and fourth on June 3).

Thanks to those strong showings, Pokorski enters the final race ever at the Manitowoc Speedway this Saturday, Sept. 3, in second place in the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car (EWSC) Sprint Car point standings, just three points behind leader Brandon McMullen. In five MSA events, Pokorski has accumulated 205 points, while McMullen has garnered 208 points.

The three-time EWSC Winged Super Modified champion and 2014 MSA Masters Series champ is no stranger to the pressure of a points race. Although Pokorski generally brushes aside the notion of worrying about points, he admits that being in the hunt for this particular championship is extra special.

“I normally don’t worry about points, but it would be cool to be the last Manitowoc track champion for sure,” Pokorski said while preparing for the Manitowoc finale.

Last Wednesday, Aug. 24, the Pokorski Motorsports team competed in the second to last Manitowoc Speedway race, which was held during the Manitowoc County Fair.

True to recent form, Pokorski enjoyed a strong night on the always racy Manitowoc track, which included a heat race victory and a solid sixth place showing in the A main event.

Pokorski opened the night by starting on the outside of the front row in the first Sprint Car heat race alongside multi-time MSA champion Kurt Davis.

On the drop of the green flag, Pokorski used the outside groove to power around Davis and into the lead exiting turn two. Pokorski then wasted no time in opening up a big lead over Davis en route to a half straightaway heat race victory.

After the draw for the A main invert, Pokorski found himself starting back in 11th place in the 22-car main event field.

In the opening laps of the race, Pokorski held his ground hovering around the top 10. After gaining some momentum along the cushion, Pokorski began his march to the front with a nifty pass of Josh Teunissen for 7th place on lap 10 before working around Chris Clayton for sixth one lap later.

A yellow flag flew on lap 17 when race later Danny Schlafer made contact with a turn four guardrail after his car suffered an apparent mechanical malfunction.

After the restart, Pokorski pulled off a slide job in turns one and two to work past Tim Haddy and assume fourth place on lap 19. However, two laps later, Pokorski jumped the cushion in turn two and fell back to sixth, which is where he ended up at the checkered flag.

Brandon McMullen posted the race victory to vault to the top of the EWSC Sprint Car point standings with one race remaining at the Manitowoc Speedway, which will be demolished following Saturday’s racing program to make way for a Meijer store.

“Overall, Wednesday really went great for us,” Pokorski said. “I was a little disappointed though that I got into the guardrail and gave away a few spots with two or three to go in the A, but nonetheless I had a blast and can’t wait for this Saturday.”

The team is potentially looking forward to a tripleheader Labor Day race weekend.

The next race for the Pokorski Motorsports teams is this Friday, Sept. 2 at The Plymouth Dirt Track along with the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series during the Sheboygan County Fair. Racing is slated to begin at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 3 the team will vie for the EWSC Sprint Car title in the grand finale race program at the Manitowoc Speedway, which features an earlier 6 p.m. start time.

Pending how it fares at Plymouth and Manitowoc, the team has tentative plans to join the IRA 410 series at the 141 Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 4.

“141 is still tentative,” Pokorski said. “I work on Saturday and Sunday, so it’s dependent on getting through the first two races of the weekend cleanly.”

Tough luck hounds Pokorski Motorsports

Tough luck hounds Pokorski Motorsports

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 17, 2016 – In a season filled with ups and downs, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team experienced the low end of the pendulum during a Midwest Sprint Car Association doubleheader last Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Plymouth Dirt Track and Sunday, Aug. 14 at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie.

While the weekend’s action saw Pokorski race his blue No. 4 Maxim past a total of 16 cars in heat race, B main and A main competition, he was unable to steer clear of trouble in both A main events, as a multi-car accident at Plymouth and a huge nine-car pileup at Angell Park derailed his efforts to record a top finish.

On Saturday night at the Plymouth Dirt Track, a field of 26 PDTR Sprint Cars checked into the pit area with sights set on claiming an added $600 to win the A main courtesy of the family of the late Paul Coppersmith, who was a big supporter of racing at Plymouth for many years.

Pokorski got things off to a flying start in the first PDTR Sprint Car heat race. After starting ninth, Pokorski powered past Justin Miller, Josh Teunissen and Jason Johnson to move into sixth place on the opening lap.

On lap 2, Pokorski got by Garrett Timothy in turn two before sneaking past Tyler Brabant for fourth place on lap 4. Pokorski was closing on the third place car of Mitchell Yurmanovich when a rear end gear problem flared up on lap 7. As the car popped in and out of gear over the final three laps, Pokorski limped home with an eighth place finish.

The gear issue relegated Pokorski to the third starting spot in the B main. Pokorski held his own throughout the 12-lap race to place third and earn a transfer spot to the A main.

The three-time Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Winged Super Modified champion, who was honored at intermission along with many other past Plymouth track champions, lined up 18th in the 22-car 25-lap A main event.

Pokorski used the high line on the fast and uneven track surface to move into 16th place on lap 9. However, disaster struck one lap later, when contact with another car sent Justin Miller flipping in front of Pokorski and Ryan Mayr with all three cars making contact in turn three.

The incident forced Pokorski to retire from the race with a 21st place finish. Brandon McMullen went on to post the victory over Lance Fassbender and Tim Haddy.

“We had a good car in the heat race Saturday at Plymouth, but mechanical gremlins got us and put us in a bad spot for the feature,” Pokorski said.

On Sunday night, the Pokorski Motorsports team ventured south to the historic Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie for the first MSA Sprint Car race at the track since 2010.

With a strong field of 24 MSA Sprint Cars on hand, Pokorski started fourth in the second heat race. On the opening lap Pokorski swept past Al Schlafer with a high move in turn one shortly after the drop of the green flag.

On lap three, MSA point leader Kurt Davis moved in to briefly challenge Pokorski for third place. However, Pokorski fended off the challenge before pulling away to close in on the second place car of Josh Walter in the final laps en route to a third place finish.

The 2014 MSA Masters Series champion started fifth in the A main and found himself in seventh place on the opening lap. He battled back to pass Chris Clayton along the outside groove to move into sixth place on lap 2, before Mitchell Yurmanovich hit the backstretch wall to bring out the first caution of the event.

On the restart, Pokorski got tangled up in a nine-car pileup in turn four, which brought out a red flag. After going to the work area, Pokorski restarted the race in the 17th position. He then went to work passing five cars (Garrett Timothy, Zach Raidart, Dannon Tessmer, Tony Wondra and Josh Teunissen) over the final 13 laps of the race to post a 12th place finish in the shortened 15-lap race.

Scotty Neitzel raced the Bob Hood-owned 10W car normally driven by Donny Goeden, to the A-main victory with a last corner pass on Kurt Davis.

“Sunday night we had a good heat race and got caught up in somebody’s wreck in the feature, which seems to be happening to us a lot lately,” Pokorski said. “The weekend did not quite go as planned. The last month or so has had its fair share of ups and downs, but we’ve been doing this long enough to know that it’s part of the deal and won’t last forever.”

This Saturday night the Pokorski Motorsports team will be in action at the Plymouth Dirt Track. Spectator gates open at 4:30 p.m. with racing set to begin at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24, the team will travel to the Manitowoc Speedway for the annual Manitowoc County Fair race. It will be the second to last race ever at the Manitowoc Speedway, which will close at the end of the season to make way for a Meijer store. Racing begins at 7 p.m.

Pokorski Motorsports makes headway in MSA double shot

Pokorski Motorsports makes headway in MSA double shot

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 10, 2016 – As the 2016 racing season turns the corner and builds momentum toward the home stretch, Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team continue to search for the right combination to be a consistent threat at the front of the field.

Last week’s Midwest Sprint Association doubleheader at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on Friday, Aug. 5 and The Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday, Aug. 6, saw the team make progress in certain areas, which it hopes will carry over during a busy August schedule.

On Friday, Aug. 5, Pokorski Motorsports was among 20 MSA sprint car teams that checked in to do battle at the high-speed horsepower half mile. After posting a season-best second place finish in the MSA’s last appearance at the Dodge County half mile, Pokorski drew the eighth starting spot in the second sprint car heat race. Following a good start, Pokorski passed Samantha Portschy and Dick Kaiser before the entrance to turn one on the opening lap.

On the second lap, Pokorski powered past Andrew Westphal in turn two to move into fifth place. As cars then began to spread out on the mammoth half-mile track, Pokorski held strong en route to a fifth place showing.

After starting fourth in the MSA A main, Pokorski stumbled a bit on the start, which allowed Tim Haddy to sneak by along on the frontstrech on the opening lap of the race.

Several laps later, Doug Pietz backed his car into the turn one outside wall to bring out the first caution of the event.

Luck was not on the team’s side on the ensuing restart, as two lapped cars restarted just in front of Pokorski along the low groove. In turn, this allowed Kurt Davis and Wayne Modjeski to work their way past Pokorski using the outside groove.

After a series of cautions and restarts, Pokorski held on to post an eighth-place showing in the final rundown behind race winner Tony Wondra.

“We did not run the same set up as when we finished second a month ago,” Pokorski Motorsports Crew Chief Dave Schultz said. “We had an eighth to 10th-place car in July, but with the crash on the frontstretch that took our two or three of the frontrunners, we got in the mix at the front of the field.

“Paul was not comfortable with the car that night and that is why we decided to run what we had brought there last fall in the J&J car,” he said. “They are two totally different cars, so that is why we needed to change other things as well. Paul tried everything to keep the car from darting back and forth in the corners, but was not really successful. We will bring a whole new set up to Dodge County in the fall.”

On Saturday night, the team headed back to the Plymouth Dirt Track where it hoped to improve on the previous week when it failed to earn a spot the main event.

Pokorski started sixth in the third MSA heat race and due in part to very dry, slick track conditions he was not able to make up any positions and wound up in sixth place.

Due to a healthy contingent of 34 MSA cars in the pit area, a two B main formula was used to determine the final six qualifiers for the A main.

Needing to finish third or better to qualify for the A main, Pokorski found himself starting in the fourth place in the second B main. In the opening laps, Pokorski was passed by Chris Clayton to fall to fifth place.

On lap four, Pokorski swooped up to the thick, high cushion where we quickly found his rhythm.

He passed Clayton for fourth on lap 5 and two laps later bolted around Jason Johnson to seize the all-important third place A main transfer position. Pokorski didn’t stop there though as he moved in to duel with Nich Melis for second. The two drivers battled side by side in the closing laps before Pokorski pulled ahead to secure a second-place finish.

After starting the A main deep in the pack from the 20th position, Pokorski again found the treacherous cushion to his liking. In the early stages of the race, Pokorski worked up five spots to grab 15th.

On lap 11, the ever-changing track surface started to take rubber on the bottom, which prompted Pokorski to fall in line down low. As the field ran in freight train formation during the second half of the race, Pokorski was relegated to running low.

With two laps to go in the 25-lap race, Pokorski moved into 12th place when Josh Teunissen briefly slipped out of the tacky rubber.

Pokorski held on to finish 12th, while Donny Goeden cruised to his fifth victory of the season at Plymouth.

This weekend brings another MSA doubleheader starting with the Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday night, which will feature Autograph Night and an extra $600 for the winner of the MSA A main.

On Sunday night, the MSA will make its first appearance at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie in eight years.

“We have only run at Angell Park once in 2008 for the ‘Wingless at the Prairie’ event in 2008,” Schultz said. “The feature was cut short just after halfway that night due to so many cautions.

“Many cars, including our car, did not finish that night,” he said. “Our frame was pretty much junk after missing the cushion in turns 3 and 4. Despite the trouble we had the last time we were there, I am optimistic going into Sun Prairie because I think Paul adjusts well to new tracks.”

Spectator gates open at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday with racing to follow at 6 p.m. at the Plymouth Dirt Track. Saturday night is autograph night at the Plymouth Dirt Track and all kids are invited to stop in the Pokorski Motorsports pit area to pick up a signed Pedal Down Promotions Fast Track picture card and other goodies.

This Sunday at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie spectator gates open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing to follow.

Pokorski Motorsports rides rollercoaster in MSA twinbill

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 3, 2016 – Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team lived on opposite sides of the success spectrum in Midwest Sprint Car Association doubleheader action last weekend at the Manitowoc Speedway and the Plymouth Dirt Track.

After rain washed out the previous week’s action at the Plymouth Dirt Track, the Pokorski Motorsports team was eager to get back in the groove for the fourth of six scheduled Midwest Sprint Car Association events in the final season of racing at the Manitowoc Speedway on Friday, July 29.

With 20 cars in the MSA pit area, the evening got off to a fast start for Pokorski, who started on the pole of the third Sprint Car heat race. Pokorski, who grew up in Manitowoc, bolted into the lead on the drop of the green flag and wasted no time in building up a half straight lead before a caution flag appeared on lap 5 for the stalled car of Samantha Portschy.

On the restart, found Manitowoc Speedway Sprint Car point leader Kurt Davis on his tail tank with Donny Schlafer in tow. With the top two winningest drivers in MSA history lurking behind him, Pokorski was up to challenge as he pulled away over the final three laps to post his fourth heat race victory of the season.

After rolling off from the sixth spot in the 20-lap Sprint Car A main event, Pokorski dropped back to seventh in the early going before his car roared to life on the dry-slick track surface on the way to the front of the field.

On lap 3, Pokorski worked past Kurt Davis and Doug Wondra with a strong move along the preferred high groove. Pokorski held strong in the fifth position until lap 16, when he powered past Danny Schlafer with a well-executed slide job in turn two to move into fourth place.

Pokorski was not done yet as he worked the low line to slip past Anthony Knierim in turn four on lap 18. The 2014 MSA Masters Series champ cruised over the final two laps to notch a solid third place finish behind runner-up Justin Miller and race winner Lance Fassbender.

The team entered action on Saturday, July 30 at the Plymouth Dirt Track hoping to duplicate the success of the previous night at Manitowoc. However, that was not to be as things went sour quite quickly.

With a stout field of 32 MSA Sprint Cars signed in, Pokorski started sixth in the fourth Sprint Car heat race. At the halfway mark of the race, Al Schlafer flipped his car going into turn three. A delayed caution flag, several cars were forced to check up quickly as the leaders approached the accident scene.

As a result, Pokorski was unable to avoid contact with Kevin Karnitz, who had to get on the brakes hard as the field approached Schlafer’s disabled car. The contact resulted in a broken shock mount and bent radius rods on Pokorski’s car, which forced him to retire from the race. He was credited with a sixth-place finish.

“We were running just before the halfway mark and Al Schlafer flipped going into turn 3,” Pokorski Motorsports Crew Chief Dave Schultz said. “A very delayed red flag was called well after the leaders had gone through the start/finish line and were around turns one and two. Some drivers had to stomp on the brakes to keep from passing the red.

“Unfortunately, when that happened Paul got into Kevin Karnitz, which resulted in some damage,” he said. “A big ‘thank you’ should go out to Lance Fassbender for helping us make repairs and for welding the left front shock mount.”

The tough luck in the heat race forced Pokorski to start 12th in the 16-car B main field. Pokorski managed to move up to finish ninth in the race, three spots out of a transfer position.

“Paul had to check up for a number of cars in the B main,” Schultz said. “The field just got too stretched out to make the ground back up that was necessary.

“It was certainly a tough night, but we will bounce back,” he said. “We’ve done it before.”

Another doubleheader weekend of MSA action is scheduled to kick off this Friday, Aug. 4 at the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam. On Saturday night, the team will return to the Plymouth Dirt Track. Both nights will also feature the Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series.

Pokorski Motorsports rock solid in double dip weekend

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 20, 2016 – Coming off of a season-best runner-up showing at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on Friday, July 8, the Paul Pokorski Motorsports team entered last weekend’s Midwest Sprint Car Association doubleheader at Manitowoc Speedway and the Plymouth Dirt Track with some all-important momentum on its side.

While the team’s A-main results may not have been overly flashy, (6th at Manitowoc, 11th at Plymouth) it was a solid weekend all around for the 24-year veteran West Bend driver and his dedicated crew.

On Friday, July 15, a total of 21 MSA Sprint Cars checked into the pit area at the Manitowoc Speedway for the third of six scheduled appearances at the track, which will be demolished a season’s end to make way for a Meijer store.

Pokorski started sixth in the second Sprint Car heat race and a fast start vaulted him to fourth, after passing Josh Teunissen in turn two. He then bolted by Doug Wondra to grab third place coming out of turn four on the opening lap.

Pokorski then held the third position the rest of the way, finishing behind second place Kurt Davis and heat winner Brandon McMullen.

The 2014 Midwest Sprint Car Association Masters Series champion drew the sixth starting position in the 25-lap main event.

Pokorski passed Al Schlafer to move into fifth and then maneuvered around Brandon McMullen along the high groove to seize fourth place on lap 4. As the leaders encountered slower traffic on lap 4, McMullen snuck past Pokorski, relegating the 2008 MSA Rookie of the Year to fifth place.

Pokorski maintained fifth place, until the final restart of the race following a caution on lap 23. On the restart, he fell back to seventh, as Wayne Modjeski and Lance Fassbender slipped past. However, he battled back to pass Fassbender at the line to place sixth in the final running order.

“Friday night at Manitowoc was a good night for us,” Pokorski said. “I made a poor choice on the final restart in the A man and that cost us a spot in the end. The car was not as good as the previous visit to Manitowoc with the IRA. I have a couple of theories why and we’ll keep working on it.”

The team then traveled to the Plymouth Dirt Track for PDTR Sprint Car action, which drew a stout field of 30 Sprint Cars.

Pokorski started sixth in the fourth Sprint Car heat race before passing Dick Kaiser on the opening laps to move into fifth place. Pokorski maintained the fifth position on the dry, slick track surface over the final nine laps to finish fifth in the final rundown.

As the final car to qualify for the A main based on passing points during the heat races, Pokorski started 16th in the A main. A good start propelled Pokorski to 12th place on lap 2. After racing closely with Spyder Akright and Ben Schmidt for a few laps, Pokorski passed Spyder Akright to claim the 11th position.

However, Pokorski dropped back to 13th, after a nifty move by Ben Schmidt on lap 13. Moments later Schmidt dropped out after stalling in turn four.

After restarting 13th, Doug Wondra slipped past Pokorski to move the West Bend racer to 14th. However, eight laps later, Pokorski battled back to pass Wondra for 13th.

After a lap 22 caution for a spin involving Brandon McMullen, who had led the race throughout, Pokorski executed a few more passes, advancing to 12th on lap 22 and slipping past Spyder Akright again to finish 11th in the final rundown.

Tim Haddy captured his second EWSC main event triumph, after inheriting the lead following McMullen’s spin in turn four on lap 22. Chris Clayton was second, Donny Goeden claimed third place, followed by Jim Melis and Andrew Westphal placed fifth.

Pokorski indicated that track conditions did not yield much passing in the A main.

“On Saturday night, the track was smooth, but it rubbered up in the A main,” Pokorski said. “That’s never good, especially considering how far back in the pack we started.”

This coming weekend will feature one race at the Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday, July 23, which will include bonus money up for grabs in the Sprint Car division with the A main paying a cool $1,300 to win.

“I generally don’t get too excited about the money,” Pokorski said. “I’ll only think about it if I’m leading and we get a yellow with two to go. Then I would have time to think about losing it!”

This Saturday also autograph night, which is a favorite event each year for the fan-friendly Pokorski Motorsport team.

“I think every night is for the fans,” Pokorski said. “That is something our team has always believed in and will continue to. We always look forward to seeing all the fans who come to our pit area after the races.”

The Plymouth Dirt Track Racing program is scheduled to being at 6 p.m. Sheboygan County Fair Park is location at 229 Fairview Drive in Plymouth. For more information, visit www.plymouthdtr.com or check out Plymouth Dirt Track Racing on Facebook.
