(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 23, 2021 – Two weeks after competing with the national touring FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint Car Series at The Plymouth Dirt Track at their home track in Plymouth, Wis., Josh Walter and the Torque Racing team took on the top touring Winged 410 Sprint Car series on the planet as they joined the field for the 11th annual NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial event at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, June 19.

As one of 27 drivers to sign in the event, Walter opened the night by turning in the 23rd fastest lap in qualifying with a circuit of 12.083 seconds around the high-banked third-mile clay oval.

Walter, who was making his sixth overall career appearance with the World of Outlaws, then lined up eighth in the second 10-lap heat race with a berth in the 40-lap A main on the line.

Walter, who notched a 410 Sprint Car career-best fourth-place finish in a Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series event at Beaver Dam Raceway on May 22, worked his way past World of Outlaws regulars Jason Sides and Jacob Allen, as well as two-time IRA champion Scotty Neitzel to finish fifth and claim a spot in his second career World of Outlaws main event.

After starting 14th in the 40-lap headliner, Walter held his own running around the top 15 before pulling off the track on lap 31 after going a lap down. Walter was credited with a 22nd-place finish in a race won by Sheldon Haudenschild.

“After going a lap down, we pulled in as we are looking at the big picture,” Walter said. “It was a pretty solid night for us, all things considered, and now we are looking forward to going back to compete at The Plymouth Dirt Track with the IRA Sprints on Thursday, July 1st.”

The Torque Racing team will take the upcoming weekend off, before returning to action with the IRA Sprints for a special $5,000-to-win event at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis. as part of the NASCAR Cup Series weekend at nearby Road America on Thursday, July 1.

The Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Cars will join the IRA 410 Sprint Cars on the all-Sprint Car card.

Torque Racing Pit Crew Spotlight – Tiffany Vorpagel, race team coach

“Tiffany keeps everyone in place, especially me,” Walter said. “She works on the car helping who ever needs it, from getting tools, picking up after us, helping scrape mud, getting line ups, pulling the pills, calming us down and taking care of all the things that I need as a driver to get ready from putting on tear-offs, to getting my head socks ready.”

Torque Racing sponsors for the 2021 season include Dlapa Construction, Brittany’s School of Dance, Sheboygan by Owner, SCA Inc., Cow Pies, Full Throttle Ink, Lakehouse Bar & Grill, Home Transitions, Oostburg Concrete Products, RC Custom Design and Pedal Down Promotions.

Torque Racing Sponsor ShowcaseSheboygan by Owner, Home Transitions

Josh Walter and Torque Racing team is pleased to welcome back Sheboygan By Owner and Home Transitions as a sponsor for the 2021 racing season.

Sheboygan by Owner was created in 2003 to give sellers of real estate in Sheboygan, Calumet and Manitowoc Counites an avenue to sell their own home, while having a presence on the internet and access to real estate partners at a low flat fee rate, which allows them to keep more money in their own pockets.

Sheboygan by Owner also gives buyers a quick glance at “for sale by owner” properties at the convenience of their homes/phones without having to call on every home they drive by or hear about.

“Homebuyers can search the web to see what the homes have to offer, and then call on only the ones they have an interest in, saving them both time and money,” said Allison Smith of Sheboygan by Owner.

Smith is thrilled to be involved with sponsoring Josh Walter and Torque Racing for the 2021 racing season.

“This a great opportunity to both help Josh and his racing team and to have another avenue to promote our business,” Smith said.

Home Transitions began in 2002 as a referral and buyer-only real estate company. By 2008, it blossomed into a full-service real estate company serving customers located mainly in Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties, while reaching out to other outlying areas upon request.

“Home Transitions works best on referrals and the goal is to make the home buying and selling transition go smoothly for all parties,” Smith said.
